Skills
& Expertise

Core Platform & Strategic Ownership

  • Extensive experience owning and driving the full lifecycle of an Enterprise DAM system (e.g., Bynder) from implementation through front-end and back-end administration and strategic evolution.

  • Vendor Management & Fiscal Oversight: Own and manage the entire vendor relationship and contract lifecycle (including annual renewals, licensing, integrations, and feature negotiations), ensuring the DAM platform provides maximum value and fiscal efficiency for the organization.

Governance, Taxonomy & Search Quality

  • Enforce controlled vocabularies and taxonomy governance to maintain search precision, avoiding the metadata noise caused by uncalibrated AI auto-tagging.

  • Strong proficiency in Digital Rights Management (DRM), usage licensing, and compliance to mitigate organizational risk in partnership with legal teams.

  • Proven ability to address and resolve system and process issues, establish clear RACI governance, and enable cross-functional collaboration and team effectiveness.

Field Ingestion & Operational Workflows

  • Build ingestion workflows for high-value media captured in remote field environments and global expeditions, ensuring assets are cleared, tagged, and accessible for campaigns and press portals.

  • Workflow Operations & Automation: Build custom Smartsheet intake forms, automated approval workflows, and executive dashboards to manage system requests, project backlogs, and cross-functional operations.

  • Expertise in leveraging DAM metrics to report on utilization, workflow throughput, and campaign impact to senior leadership.

Production, Formats & Technical Integrations

  • Experience with data migration and integration protocols (FTP, SharePoint, cloud-based storage, APIs).

  • Configure, enforce, and maintain complex taxonomies and metadata schemas to drive asset discoverability and compliance, applying data-mapping protocols (including EXIF/IPTC, JSON, or Markdown) as required to keep web and platform integrations clean and connected.

  • Knowledge of wide-ranging file formats and specifications, including still, video, social, and web content.

  • Creative thinking around process improvements and a proven ability to solve complex problems.

  • Proficiency with project management systems and best practices for backlog and roadmap management.

  • Knowledgeable about print, digital production processes, and file development with US-based and offshore suppliers.
